Negra es la noche que llega

Negra es la noche que llega

An in-depth examination of the human soul that strips it of all its coverings and deceit. A search for the unconscious and animal chaos of human life.

The work is inspired by an unfinished manuscript by Antonin Artaud, There is No More Firmament. The text, although incomplete, contains all the ingredients of the harshness of the play. With this work the Spanish company Sfota! Teatro! offers viewers a vision of a world that is dying to the point of absurdity and clings, also to the point of absurdity, to an existence and action that lack meaning. Taking acceptance of this fact as a basis, it invites viewers to explore this alternative that is capable of substituting what is disappearing; it might entail truths that are not easy to come to terms with, but they are all that we have.

AC/E is collaborating in this production by supporting the mobility of the Spanish company Sfota! Teatro! through the PICE grants.
