María Belén Saez de Ybarra, director of the Museo de Arte de la Universidad Nacional de Bogotá, is visiting artists’ studios, institutions and art galleries to establish future collaborations with one of the Colombian museums that are most active on the contemporary scene. She will also deliver a lecture at the Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid on the New Situation of Art in Colombia.
This visit is intended to help give rise to collaboration programmes between Spanish art institutions and one of the most prestigious art centres in Colombia. Learning about the Spanish art scene will be a decisive factor in presenting Spanish art in the country.
