The aim of Mórbido Film Fest is to disseminate national and international film culture, focusing on the fantasy, science fiction and horror genres.
The international feature-length films presented at the seventh edition this year include [REC] 4: Apocalipsis by Jaume Balagueró, with the support of the mobility grants awarded by AC/E.
Rec 4 marks the end of one of the best horror film sagas of the past years. Made in Spain, this internationally acclaimed saga has even had American remakes (Quarantine 1 and 2). The latest film tells how, after the events that took place in the sinister building featured in the first two films, Ángela Vidal (Manuela Velasco) wakes up the following morning on a boat on the high seas where scientists are investigating the supposed virus in order to find a cure. But, as was to be expected, things get out of hand and the infected people have the run of the boat.
