Carla Pereira Docampo has been the creator chosen to enjoy this residency at NEF Animation at Fontevraud Abbey for animated film creators between April 4 and May 3, 2023, with the project "The Flight of the Bumblebee ”. Carla Pereira is a director and screenwriter. Among the projects that she has carried out to date are “Metamorphosis” (2019), “Proceso de selección” (2021) and “Isle of Dogs” (2018).

This call is organized by Cineteca, the Matadero Center for Artist Residences, and NEF Animation, and with the support of AC/E, for the mobility of animated film creators residing in Spain with a short, medium or long-term project. animation, or an animated film project in new or hybrid formats: artistic installation, virtual reality, transmedia, video-mapping, individual television or TV series, animated documentary, etc. The residency is aimed at the research, pre-development and writing phases, whether of scripts, graphics or music of the projects. It is expected that the residence will serve to advance in the pre-production of a specific animated piece, without having to present results. In addition to promoting the artistic practice and professional development of creators; promote the mobility and internationalization of animated film creators; provide animated film creators with contexts of institutional support and spatial and economic resources to facilitate artistic production; and establish a context of accompaniment and training so that the purpose of the residence sees the light in the best possible conditions. Establish connections between the different protagonists of the international field of animation.
