Mextrópoli is a project about the architecture that seeks to activate it through conferences, presentations, exhibitions, discussion tables, workshops, visits, city routes, parties and other events that bring together in Mexico the most important actors of the architecture at a national and international level. For four days they participate in meetings and panels of experts to present their proposals, experiences and current problems around issues like the city, urbanism, culture, design and architecture.
This sixth edition is entitled "Where the city ends" and it reflects on the urban limits and the connotations that the demographic and urban expansion have brought with them. It investigates issues such as mobility, housing, water supply, peripheries, topographical limits, population density and migration, among others.
AC/E covers the travel expenses of the Spanish architects Ignacio Mendaro Corsini, Marina Otero Verzier, Joseph Bohigas and María Güell, all invited by the festival to give lectures and participate in several discussion panels with important personalities from the world of local and international culture.
