MERCARTES started out in Seville in 2004. After five editions and working with the sector for nearly twelve years, it has become established as a must-attend commercial event on the agenda of performing arts professionals and companies in Spain.
Last year Mercartes was visited by more than 700 sector professionals.
The main activities of this edition, which will continue with the efforts and progress made in past years, are the business forum that promotes personal meetings between projects and organisations, the presentation of artistic and business projects and the guided tours for programmers.
With the PICE grants for Visitors, the following international programmers participate:
Cecilia Checa, NAVE creation and residence center - Chile
Claudia Michel, Project mARTadero - Bolivia
Eva Nunes, European Festivals Association - Belgium
Suzanne Lebeau Payette, Le Carrousel. Compagnie de Théâtre - Canada
Graciana Maro, AADET - Argentine Association of Theatrical Entrepreneurs - Argentina
