Spanish contemporary theatre is extensively represented at this year’s Maribor Theatre Festival.
The publishing company Editorial Litera and Maribor Theatre Festival, with the collaboration of AC/E, are launching the book Contemporary Drama in Spain, a translation of five works by contemporary Spanish playwrights. These authors are: Josep Maria Benet i Jornet, Manuel Molins, Patxo Telleria, Lluïsa Cunillé y Juan Mayorga.
The translated works will be performed during the festival. Their authors will take part in several talks held during the festival to analyse the work of each of them.
The following Spanish theatre companies will also take part in the festival with the support of AC/E:
- Agrupación Señor Serrano (Catalonia) with BBBB.
- Israel Galván (Andalusia) with La Edad de Oro (The golden age)
