The aim of this programme is to encourage curatorial studies among young professionals in Brazil and abroad. AC/E is supporting it by facilitating the attendance of the Spanish curator Manuel Segade.
The aim of this programme is to encourage curatorial studies among young professionals and to contribute to the critical debate on contemporary artistic practices in Brazil and abroad. During the course of the programme a study and working group will reflect on curatorial practice, with special emphasis on writing as a privileged from of critical thought.

Manuel Segade has been content coordinator at Metrònom Fundació Rafael Tous d’Àrt Contemporani in Barcelona and curator at the Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea in Santiago de Compostela. He has also been involved in many projects for different Spanish centres throughout his professional career as an independent curator.
Some of the other curators taking part in the event, in addition to their Spanish counterpart, are Lars Ban Larsen (Denmark), Diedrich Diederichsen (Germany), Guillaume Desanges (France), Cristina Freire (Brazil), Suely Rolnik (Brazil) and Carla Zaccagnini (Argentina).
