Lasgidi International Dance Festival started out in Lagos in 2001 with the aim of becoming Nigeria’s leading contemporary dance festival. Throughout the two weeks the festival lasts, the public enjoys contemporary dance shows staged by local performers and companies from other countries in the world, while sharing experiences with professionals through workshops and meetings.
AC/E is collaborating in this year’s event through the mobility programme by supporting the presence of Spanish performers Aida Colmenero and Paloma Sánchez with the project Km.0, which begins with the piece entitled Preludio and ends with the incorporation of a dance video and a workshop where Aida Colmenero explains the Acogny technique as the only Spanish dancer qualified in this speciality.
