'La máquina de la soledad' de Oligor y Microscopia. Gira en México

This play is a fundamental paradigm of the 35th anniversary celebrations of the theatre research centre Centro Nacional de Investigación, Documentación e Información Teatral Rodolfo Usigli, where national and foreign artists and scholars come together to report on contemporary processes of creation and their connection with research. The production will tour several states of the Republic with the support of various institutions as part of their exhibitions and festivals.

AC/E is supporting the presentation of 24 performances of La máquina de la soledad and two documentation and research workshops on stagecraft.

Oligor and Microscopia (Spain and Mexico) have recently put together La máquina de la soledad, which is based on lengthy research and documentation as well as geographical coincidences. The show tells several stories and reveals dramatic aspects of people’s lives from the distance of time. It has been performed across Europe, where it has been well received, as it establishes a dialogue with tradition and contemporary art forms, as well as offering a wealth of theory based on the treatises of Tadeusz Kantor and the migratory mysticism of the settlers of the provinces of Mexico. The workshop held in connection with the play is designed to provide the theoretical and methodological tools needed to construct epistemologies related to stage performance with objects in specific contexts and to shape an academic discourse on creative processes.
