The Jornadas de Zarzuela, organised by the Fundación Jacinto e Inocencio Guerrero with the collaboration of AC/E through the Visitors programme, bring together all the agents involved in the zarzuela genre to exchange ideas and experiences.
These conferences are geared to musicologists, theatre and musical performers, theatre managers, producers and audiences. They consist of various meetings and academic sessions based on the central theme of publishing, a fair, exhibitions and shows.
AC/E is supporting the participation of foreign cultural planners Carmen Gloria Larenas de la Fuente (culture manager at Teatro del Lago, Chile), Enrique Bernales Ballesteros (President of Asociación Romanza, Peru), Luis Fernando Malheiro (Director of Teatro Sao Pedro, Sao Paulo)
Toleybek Alpieu (Director of Astana Opera, Kazakhstan) and Andrew Mc Kinnon (from Andrew Mc Kinnon fine Entertainment, Australia).
Fundación Jacinto e Inocencio Guerrero received the Teatro Campoamor music prize in 2014 in recognition of its significant contribution to the world of operetta. During the event the Teatro Auditorio in Cuenca becomes a trade fair devoted to theatres and production centres, as well as zarzuela programmers. This year’s theme is: El teatro de arte de Martínez Sierra.
