Prefab evenings are designed as a logical continuation of the exhibition The American soup that Jordi Colomer helds at the FRAC Basse-Normandie between April 19 and August 23 2013. During 6 sessions, artists, poets and musician sparticipate in this cultural program, improvising a script.
In this fourth afternoon Prefab, RE-PRESENTATION: Numax, 1979, presents a historical recreation for the enjoyment of the public and participants. In 1979, after two and half years of strikes, demonstrations and self-management, workers of the NUMAX appliance factory decided to make a film with the help of Joaquim Jordà to narrate their struggle. In this film, they coveed the proceedings and meetings of some committees.

The exhibition is a film installation in which Jordi Colomer offers a unique vision on the FRAC BN collection. The film explores the relationship between the history of the region, with the presence of the United Kingdom 100, manufactured homes and emergency after the war, and the works of the collection. The exhibition traces sensitively and in an outward journey, different time frames.
In the movie The American soup, Jordi Colomer invites the viewer to imagine scenes that give continuity to the story. The stored images are the starting point for the construction or the lights that lead the viewer to a world on the brink of fiction. Jordi Colomer's work also feeds on the history of the place, to film the social context in which it operates. Therefore, the artist has chosen actors among people who lived United Kingdom 100. The dialogues are written. The actors improvise and discuss among themselves the landscape that surrounds them and the history of everyday life in these homes.
