Jaipur Literature Festival 2015

Jaipur Literature Festival 2015

Jaipur Literature Festival, which started out in 2006, is currently hailed as a cultural catalyst in both India and the rest of the world, exposing audiences to a constant flow of ideas. With live music performances and interactive workshops, the festival creates a space for dreams and the imagination. The leitmotif of this year’s edition is Rasa, a person’s state of mind the first time they are moved by a work of art, be it a play, music, a film, literature or visual art, etc.

With the collaboration of AC/E, the 2015 edition is featuring the musical activity RASA – DUENDE: Music, Dance & Video Creation, a collaboration between artists from India and Spain that includes the performance of the Indian violinist and composer Sharat Chandra Srivastava and the Spanish musicians José Salinas and Amir John (a resident in Spain since 1998) together with the dancer and choreographer Mónica de la Fuente. The ground-breaking Spanish audio-visual artist Rafael Rossi is collaborating with them by presenting a video created specifically for the performance.
