International Poetry Festival of Granada 2018

The International Poetry Festival of Granada is an annual event that brings together more than 100 poets of different nationalities who read their poems in squares, church atriums, schools, streets, universities and museums of the city of Granada in Nicaragua. It has a large following, both nationally and internationally. During the festival there are also literary workshops for children and young people, book fairs, presentations, poetry carnival, round tables and conferences.

This 14th edition of the FIPG is dedicated to two great writers Nicaraguan Fernando Silva and Honduran Roberto Sosa. This year AC/E collaborates with the festival by supporting the participation of the José María Velázquez, writer and poet, he has been a co-writer, interviewer, text editor and flamencologist, and Santiago Montobbio, poet, writer and journalist.

In addition the participants will be able to know and listen to live, to prestigious international writers among them, the winners of the Pulitzer poetry prize for their outstanding work Tyehimba Jess and Robert Hass, from the United States. Also in the Festival this years the  directors of other poetry festivals among them, Madeleine Grive Director of the Stockholm International Poetry Festival; Regina Dick, Director of the International Poetry Festival of Bremen and Moez Majed President of the International Poetry Festival in Sidi Bou, Tunis.
