Every year the National and International Meeting of Women Poets, the 23rd edition of which will take place in 2016, invites a group of about 40 Colombian and foreign poets notable for the quality of their poetry and literary careers to take part in a programme of poetry recitals, readings, lectures, introduction to poetry workshops, discussion panels, book launches, interviews with the media, and the promotion of poetry reading and writing in general during the event.
A novel feature of the 23rd edition is the establishment of a poetry school that does not distinguish between genders or ages in order to help train new poets in the area and the country with the aid and contributions of the guest poets, who offer their experience to people starting out in poetry writing.
AC/E is supporting the participation of Spanish poets in five poetry recitals at different venues, as well as in lectures open to the general public and a poetry writing workshop with young people, among other activities.
