This festival takes place every year and sets out to grant recognition to and disseminate films that contribute, through their significance and artistic values, to enriching and reaffirming the Latin American and Caribbean cultural identity.
Every year Havana Festival organises a showcase of 10 recent Spanish films, whose directors, actors or scriptwriters take part in the presentation.
Havana Festival also invites prominent people and artists from the audiovisual sector to be part of the panels that choose the winners of the Coral awards. This year it is the turn of director Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón, journalist Alicia Gómez Montano, critic and producer Manuel Pérez Estremera, and distributor and planner Javier Martín.
