International Museum Day is celebrated worldwide on May 18, a commemoration that began in 1977 to raise public awareness about the role of museums in the development of society. Radio 3, with the collaboration of Acción Cultural Española (AC/E), joins the celebration with a special program of live performances and dance music with the station's DJs.
This is the seventh year that International Museum Day has been celebrated with a great festival of live music and culture at the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid. For 19 uninterrupted hours (from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at night), a marathon of live performances from the square of the Nouvel building. The conference can be followed live on the regular broadcast of Radio 3. It can also be seen streaming on the station's website and app.
