On May 18, International Museum Day is celebrated throughout the world, a commemoration that began in 1977 to raise public awareness of the role of museums in the development of society. Radio 3, with the collaboration of Acción Cultural Española (AC/E), joins the celebration with a special program: 48 live performances and three hours of dance music with the station's DJs.
This is the sixth year that International Museum Day has been celebrated with a great festival of live music and culture at the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid. For 19 uninterrupted hours (from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.), a marathon of live performances from the Nouvel building square. The day can be followed live on the usual Radio 3 broadcast.
