Imploding Fictions is an international theatre company. In 2017 they are celebrating ten years of international collaborations, by hosting a festival where our past and present collaborators from all over Europe and beyond are invited to participate with guest performances and workshops.
AC/E supports the participation of Beaches / Sleepwalk Collective with "Party". This artistic collective will perform their most recent production PARTY, an intimate, sensory theatre experience. Right before the festival Beaches will also conduct an interdisciplinary workshop for professional theatre makers at the Norwegian Actors’ Centre. Beaches includes the members of the Spanish theatre company Sleepwalk Collective who have been regular collaborators of Imploding Fictions for many years.
BEACHES explore modes of producing fissures in the conventional formats of theatre and dance, creating site-specific immersive pieces where the figure of the performer is decentralised and displaced in order to create experiences where movement is incarnated by the spectator's own body.
PARTY is an immersive dance and audio show. Alluding to elements of our collective memory and popular culture, the piece creates a utopic simulation of a night out that functions as a detonator for hacking the senses of the spectator, blurring the limits between reality and representation.
