Iberodocs 2015. Ibero-American Documentary Film Festival Scotland

Iberodocs 2015. Ibero-American Documentary Film Festival Scotland

For the second edition in 2015 the festival will deal with the topic of identity as it is a current issue in the Scottish and British societies nowadays and relates to the festival objectives around integration of cultures.

There will be a Focus on Galicia which will bring the attention to this area of Spain not very well known in Scotland by showing some of its new “New Galician Cinema” with three screenings of its best emerging talent. AC/E supports the participation of Isabel Martínez and Pela del Álamo through the Mobility grants.

At the moment, the programming team is working to secure more films for the Iberodocs 2015 and we aim at bringing 20 films for the second edition of the festival, with at least 50% of UK premiers. The 2015 festival will take place in Edinburgh and Glasgow, expanding our activity to the west coast of Scotland and using the Centre for the Contemporary Arts (CCA) as main hub. Part of the Galician Focus will also travel to London after the festival making this year’s edition a unique three-location happening.
