Granero 2019 (2nd edition)

In its second edition, Granero starts with the focus on contemporary Ibero-American creation with the artists Kiko Pérez (Spanish), who participates with a Mobility grant of AC/E, and Ana Navas (Venezuelan-Ecuadorian) and the curatorship of Manuela Moscoso (Ecuadorian). The artists will spend some time in residence in León taking the contexts of the city and other nearby rural towns as inspirational environments. In addition to the production work, activities, samples and a final exhibition will be developed.

Granero is a project of artistic residencies and cultural programming in León, Guanajuato, which promotes the creation of art in context and in dialogue with local communities. In each annual edition a space of residence and production of contemporary art is offered, to which other parallel activities, an annual publication and exhibitions will be linked. From Granero, artists are invited to develop projects that reflect on the terms territory and landscape.
