In 2018, Flanders Festival organises its 61th edition from 9 Sept until 6 Oct. The festival welcomes renowned orchestras and ensembles (such as Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra London), big star soloists and conductors (like Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Esa-Pekka Salonen), mixed with newbies and excellent Belgian performers (for example Dirk Brossé, Jef Neve or Collegium Vocale Gent).
AC/E supports the participation of Antonio Andrade Flamenco Company with the production "Carmen". This opera by Bizet is an authentic Flamenco Ballet production that has been performed in some of the world’s best opera houses, venues and festivals. “Carmen” has been a huge success and continues to delight audiences.
Since its creation in 2001, the Antonio Andrade Flamenco Company has been defined as an Andalusian dance company with Flamenco roots and identity, but is always open to new trends and influences such as jazz, Arabic and Latin American music.
