The 13th edition of GETXOPHOTO International Image Festival addresses the challenges faced by individuals in a present where the processes of acceleration, automation, artificial intelligence and scientific–technological advances are posing new challenges, as we edge closer to the concept of transhumanism. This edition, following the discursive line of the topic Transitions started two years ago, triesy to address fundamental contemporary issues.
The four guests invited to participate in this festival, with the support of AC/E through PICE Visitors grants, are Hannah Watson - director and co-founder of a gallery where works by hundreds of world-renowned artists and followed by media - Christian Caujolle - an international benchmark and a prestigious cultural project prescriber - Neil Harbisson - whose presence reinforces the quality of the Festival's programming due to its international projection with an activity that combines artistic, scientific, technological and media content - and Ali Eslami - Iranian artist, pioneer in the exhibition of new technologies and in the development and design of interactive virtual reality experiences that explore new paths in this emerging environment.
