Future Of Imagination 2015

Future Of Imagination 2015

Future Of Imagination (FOI) is a performance event that is designed to revitalise this type of art in Singapore by redefining it and promoting interest in it. Since it was first held in 2003, FOI has invited more than 110 artists from 26 countries to perform live, write studies or teach workshops.

Continuing with the effort to establish a discourse that is committed to performance art, FOI 10 has devised the following programme:
1.  Performance art writing workshop.  2. Symposium – Past, Present and Future – Performance Art in South Asia.  3. Online critiques of performance art made by pupils of the writing workshop.  4. Screenings selected by guest artists.  5. Drawings in the manner of sketches on the performances of guest artists.

FOI 10 will be attended by Spanish artist Marta Moreno with the support of the AC/E Mobility programme to work on her project Chora: Regression series, a series of performances begun in 2012 and inspired by Diogenes syndrome. The new piece to be created at FOI 10 will complete this series and establish a dialogue with her latest work, which will be presented at Action!MAD Encuentro de Arte de Acción at Matadero Madrid.
