Frinje Festival and Théâtre París-Villette 2016

This project consists of a workshop and residency in Paris and Madrid based on collaboration between the Frinje festival and the Théâtre Paris-Villette in France and involving Spanish and French authors.

The first part of the project took place in Madrid in July 2015 during the 15th Frinje festival, where French directors Philippe Dorin and Sylviane Fortuny presented Des châteaux en Espagne. For this second part of the project, Spanish artists José Manuel Mora and Carlota Ferrer have been invited to give a ten-day workshop with six French pupils at this residency.

With the support of AC/E, during this residency the Spanish artists will continue a project begun this summer at the Matadero centre for contemporary creation. Entitled Doce Canciones de Amor Desesperadas (Twelve desperate love songs), it consists of a laboratory for theatre creation and research on the consequences of love on our bodies through the personal experiences of six young performers and another six active artists aged over 60. The short texts written during the workshop will be publicly presented at the Théâtre Paris-Villette in Paris.
