FIG Bilbao is an event organised to disseminate research into the world of etching and paper. It is a project that has become consolidated as an annual event for prints in Spain and serves as the showcase to boost the presence abroad of established and emerging artists thanks to the presence of international endorsers and curators who come to the Festival to keep up to date with the trends in this artistic discipline. Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) is supporting this seventh edition of the event through PICE grants to help four international professionals attend the event.
The seventh edition of FIG Bilbao will be held between 15th and 18th November at Palacio Euskalduna, with a programme featuring new activities to show the more cosmopolitan side of this art through multiple collaborations and international exchanges. There are over thirty galleries comprising the heart of the festival, a record in terms of participation. There will be more exhibition spaces than in other years at FIG Bilbao. In fact there will be a total of 45, with considerable international representation, including galleries, universities, art centres, workshops and associations.
