FIET 2016. Balearic Islands Theater Fair for Children and Young People

This annual theatre festival aimed at children, young people and families runs for four days in the town of Vilafranca (Mallorca). It features performances and shows in a great variety of genres and formats, both ree and paid, outdoor and indoor. Last year’s event attracted 17,000 spectators.

One of its main objectives is to promote the performing arts produced in the islands, but it is also designed as a space for reflection and exchange. The FIET aims to encourage the creation of new projects and synergies between the cultural industry – that which represents the roots of the people and their tradition, as well as the most innovative and cutting-edge sector which nevertheless draws on this tradition – and international projects.

The FIET’s programme features a meeting of professionals of the performing arts in which AC/E encourages the participation of foreign professionals.
