FICARQ, created by Producciones Dímelo A Mí S.L., is the only International Film & Architecture Festival in Spain to screen both documentary and fiction films in which architecture plays the main role. It is recognized as one of the most outstanding festivals?? in the international arena. This fifth edition is held in Santander between 4 and 8 June and features Norway as guest country, with the assistance of two architects from the Snøhetta studio.
FICARQ has an official double section DON’t KNOW what a dbl section is – or is it doblaje? “Dubbing” in English dedicated to the production of fiction and documentary film around the world, in which the links between architecture, urbanism and cinema are explored. The official section, the information section and the special passes add up to a program of around 50 titles, complete with a series of lectures in which more than twenty architects and other directors of art, don’t know what a director of art is supposed to be filmmakers and specialists in new technologies from all over will participate. Patricia Urquiola, a Spanish designer who lives in Milan, is taking part in this programme with the support of AC/E.
