FICA is a festival for the dissemination and enhancement of short films, especially from Spain, facilitating the creation of collaboration networks within the national and international industry. In its 30th anniversary, it is committed to increasing its weight and international prestige, adding to its competition numerous activities and industry meetings with the presence of important international agents. AC/E makes it possible for the following international professionals to participate and get acquainted with the Spanish film scene from Europe and America: Linda Olswesky (Oscar Selection Committee), Lyubo Yonchev (Member of the European Film Academy, Tirana Film Festival, Albania) and Mick Hannigan (co-director of IndieCork, Ireland.).
FICA includes in its program lectures, workshops, pitching sessions, meetings between creators, producers, distributors and programmers, among others, for the dissemination of the national short film and promote international co-production. This year also organizes a special focus on Quebec and its expanding market, as an example of operation and as a market of opportunities.
