FIBA 2015. Festival Internacional de Buenos Aires

FIBA 2015. Festival Internacional de Buenos Aires

Organised by the Ministry of Culture of Buenos Aires, FIBA (Buenos Aires International Festival) was established in 1997 and brings together the world’s leading performing artists to a city with an active theatre sector. Every two years the festival showcases foreign and national products in a broad variety of styles and genres as well as hosting outdoor performances, workshops, roundtables, book launches, film screenings and art exhibitions, among other activities.

The tenth edition of the festival in 2015 (17 September – 4 October 2015) features a programme designed to consolidate its wish to reflect new contemporary trends. Once again, it is taking up the challenge of inviting prestigious playwrights whose works have not yet been shown in Buenos Aires and others whose plays have and continue to arouse interest. The best of the national theatre scene will be represented and debate, reflection, excitement and enjoyment are guaranteed.

AC/E’s Programme for the Internationalisation of Spanish Culture (PICE) is enabling the Spanish shows W.W (We, Women) by the Sol Picó dance company and Brickman Brando Bubble Boom by Agrupación Señor Serrrano to take part in the festival.
