Festiver is a competitive festival with a varied programme of events in which visitors can take part free of charge: open-air and indoor screenings, workshops, meetings, lectures, masterclasses and talks on cinema and the environment with national and international panellists, art and science exhibitions, a green market, tree planting and cinema in rural communities, among other activities.
This year Antoni Folguera Amorós is presenting his environmental documentary Entre el Cielo y la Tierra, with the support of the AC/E Mobility grants. The documentary tells the story of a group of young people who dared to defy the system in 1976 by attempting to change Catalonia’s landscape. Putting all their courage and ingeniousness into the fight, they halted the destruction of what has since become one of the most important bird reserves in southern Europe, the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà. Antoni Folguera will also give a talk to the audience on his experience during the presentation and will be a member of the jury for the official competition of the festival.
