Nuevas Músicas por la Memoria (New music for remembrance) is an annual festival devoted to contemporary music. Its purpose is to disseminate the newest and deepest expressions of contemporary music through an inclusive, multiple and pluralist programme and also to promote the values of democracy, civil freedoms and human rights. Since 2011 NMXLM has been held at Espacio Cultural Nuestros Hijos with the support of the Escuela Nacional de Realización y Experimentación Cinematográfica during the week for the commemoration and condemnation of the civil and military coup and for the defence of democratic freedoms organised in collaboration with the music degree course at the Universidad de Tres de Febrero.
Sigma Project Quartet is taking part in the 2017 edition with the support of AC/E. The prestigious saxophone quartet is holding a workshop that is open to the whole community. This workshop, geared to saxophonists as well as composers and musicians in general, is taking place at 4 pm on Monday 20 February at the Conservatorio Alberto Ginastera (San Martín 370, Morón).
