The Viceregal music festival at Durango Cathedral, with the collaboration of AC/E, will feature as this season’s inaugural concert a performance by the Spanish group Los Músicos de su Alteza, conducted by Luis Antonio González Martín. Entre Italia y Nueva España. Música a lo divino y a lo humano is the title of the programme, in which Olalla Alemán (soprano), Pedro Reula, (viola da gamba), Josep María Martí (archlute) and Luis Antonio Gonzalez Marín (harpsichord, organ and conductor) are taking part. In connection with the recitals, the festival is also holding a number of lectures aimed at professional musicians and students in the chapterhouse of the cathedral and at the music school of the Universidad Juarez del Estado de Durango.
