At the Latin American music festival AC/E is supporting the premiere performance of the concert ‘Melólogos en honor de Santa Teresa de Jesús’ composed especially for the occasion by Carlos Ruiz de Castro (1941), Tomás Marco (1942), Alfredo Rugeles, Novel Sámano, Eduardo Soto MIllán and José Luis Turina. All the works have been written to commemorate the 5th Centenary of the birth of Saint Teresa of Ávila. It should be stressed that composers Cruz de Castro, Marco, Sámano and Turina are Spanish, while Rugeles and Soto Millán are Venezuelan and Mexican respectively. Artists Manuel Galiana (reciter), Marisa Blanes (piano), Tomás Marco (composer) and Luciano González (director) are also taking part in this presentation. They will all give masterclasses on their speciality: acting, piano, composition and production.
