The chief aim of this poetry festival is to promote Spanish literature in German through poetry. The readings are in both Spanish and German, and the literary translations (made by professionals) are subsequently published in prestigious German magazines or as bilingual books. The festival has an important academic component: the writers attend the University of Vienna to teach seminars. AC/E is supporting the participation of Spanish writer and poet Esperanza Ortega Martínez.
