Festival Internacional de Santander 2016

Festival Internacional de Santander 2016

The 65th edition of Santander international festival features a packed programme of 44 shows, including symphonic and baroque music concerts, dance performances, recitals, chamber and early music concerts and family shows as well as concerts in historical settings. Until 31 August audiences can enjoy the performances held both in the Palacio de Festivales of Cantabria, the main venue of the festival, and in the various other venues in the region.

Santander international festival is joining the celebrations of the centenary of the death of Enrique Granados in collaboration with Acción Cultural Española by holding three concerts: chamber music with the Catalan artist as protagonist, recitals and concerts featuring, among other artists, mezzosoprano María José Montiel, winner of the national music prize in 2015, with pieces for voice and piano by the composer and pianist (19 August).
