Cartagena International Music Festival was established in 2007, inspired by the Spoleto Festival in the United States. It combines a delicately chosen repertoire with the natural acoustics provided by Cartagena’s settings. Since 2013, the festival’s director has been the Italian Antonio Miscenà, who is responsible for its current appearance. For this ninth edition the maestro Miscenà is presenting Mare Nostrum, a survey of Mediterranean music.
