The aim of the In Spiritum International Festival is to promote the historic and artistic heritage of the city of Porto, whose historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
AC/E is collaborating with the festival by supporting the participation of Spanish artists in four of the six concerts that are programmed. David Ortolá and Luca Chiantore’s El Tropos Ensemble will revisit the musical text of Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition for piano; the Ensemble Favola d’Argo – made up of former students of the master’s course in Early Music at the ESMUC in Barcelona – will perform music by Nebra and Soler; La Real Cámara, conducted by Emilio Moreno, will perform works by Boccherini; and the organist Javier Artigas, together with Joao Vaz, will perform several works on the important set of double organs of the Igreja dos Clerigos in Porto, which were recently restored.
