Festival Internacional de Dramaturgia Europa + América 2014

Festival Internacional de Dramaturgia Europa + América 2014

This festival brings together theatre professionals, encouraging exchange between the work of foreign authors and the direction of Argentinean artists. The project lies at the boundaries between several production systems: that of independent theatre of Buenos Aires, that of international cultural institutions and that of each of the countries that are taking part in this first edition.

This meeting of authors from America and Europe is intended to broaden their field of work by interlinking different modes of doing, feeling and perceiving in order to encourage a new web of creation.

AC/E is supporting the staging of the play Humo written by Josep María Miró and directed by Anna Katz through the PICE grants.

Humo tells the story of two couples who are forced to remain shut away in a hotel in a foreign country because security measures have been stepped up owing to an outbreak of violence. It highlights the fragile balances, in a spiral of lies and betrayals.

Performances: Saturdays 15 and 22 at 21.00 at Teatro Hasta Trilce, Maza 177 (Buenos Aires).
