The 12th edition of the international low-budget film festival is taking place this year. The festival was established by Humberto Solás and is held in Gibara, Holguín, from 20 to 24 April 2016. It has witnessed the consolidation of new, creative ways of distributing films through alternative channels and traditional theatres. It has a successful track record of disseminating excellently made artistic films, which are set to go down in future film history.
