The Fundación pro Artes Escénicas y Audiovisuales has scheduled the Panama International Performing Arts Festival from 27 March to 2 April. Over the course of its six editions the festival has become the biggest theatre and contemporary dance event held in the Central American country. This biannual event shows a selection of the best theatre and contemporary dance in the world, with an emphasis on Ibero-America. For this year’s festival performances are being arranged with groups from various countries: Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Central America, Chile, France, Mexico, Spain, the United States and, of course, Panama. The shows will be held on its main stages, the Teatro Nacional and the Teatro Anita Villalaz, as well as in alternative venues and places in the city, with activities for children, young people and the general public as well.
