The 23rd International Baroque Organ Festival (25 October–6 December) features 20 concerts and 5 master classes on organs of Mexico City, Puebla, Tlaxcala and Oaxaca.
With the support of AC/E, Spanish organist Esther Ciudad is taking part in this year’s festival with two organ concerts and a master class on Spanish organ music from the sixteenth to the eighteenth centuries.
Spanish organists have played a very important part in the festival throughout its more than two decades of existence, as Spanish Renaissance and Baroque music is ideally suited to the magnificent surviving organs of New Spain.
