In its eighteenth edition, the Festival de Cine Centroamericano ÍCARO 2015 is held in El Salvador and brings together producers, screenwriters, directors and Ibero-American and international filmmakers to present their work in the categories of feature films and short fiction, documentary, animation and experimental, made during the period 2014-2015. The works are screened in cinemas and theaters in three cities in El Salvador: San Salvador, San Miguel and Santa Ana.
In addition to participate in the contest, there are other activities that visitors and contestans can join, from workshops and seminars on topics of audiovisual production, along with a sample of the productions nominated regionally in previous years and are part of the ICARO team.
Thanks to the support of AC/E's programme for the internationalization of the Spanish Culture, the Spanish film director José Sánchez-Montes will act as a jury member of the Official Selection. Out of competition his film La isla mínima (The Low Island) is presented.
