This is the 11th edition of the Bistrita Poetry Festival in which Romanian and international poets, both consecrated and emerging, have the opportunity to present their works to representatives of the most important publishing houses in Romania and meet with literary translators. The festival makes this year special emphasis on contemporary Spanish poetry written in Catalan and Castilian, and for this they have scheduled a round table in which poets who write in both languages, editors and translators participate.
AC/E supports the presence of Spanish authors invited by the festival. All of them have been translated and published in prestigious Romanian literary magazines such as Poesis International, such as Jesús Jiménez Domínguez and Sebas Puente, in a monographic book in a Romanian publishing house, as in the case of Pablo Casado, and others will be soon, as Elena Medel and Berta García Faet.
The International Festival of Poetry and Chamber Music Poezia e la Bistriţa (The poetry is in Bistrita) has an extensive journey during which it has brought together some of the most important names in contemporary Romanian poetry with poets from all over Europe (among other countries , Spain, Serbia, Germany, Holland, Norway, Slovenia) and the USA.
