The Blue Metropolis Montreal International Literary Festival, colloquially called “Write pour écrire”, annually brings together writers and readers of all languages, thereby attracting a wide audience. Events it hosts, in French, English, or both, include the Blue Metropolis Translation Slam, community literacy and writing activities, as well as readings, stage interviews, and panel discussions.
For this edition, within the framework of the Spain Guest of Honor at the Frankfurt Book Fair, Acción Cultural Española organizes five digital talks between Spanish and Canadian professionals. Canada was the Guest Country of Honor at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2021, where it handed over the baton to Spain. With these talks, this exceptional event that Spain is starring in this year is once again celebrated on a very important stage for the literary sector, especially that of translation.
