The European Contemporary Dance Festival La Becquée is an unmissable event highlighting contemporary art through various dance representations. It takes place all around Brest and its neighboring cities, every year in late September since 2007.
La Becquée’s goal is to complete the choreographic activity already existing in the area. The festival is the bridge between various cultural institutions (private or state-funded) as well as local professional and amateur dancers.
AC/E supports the participation of Jesus Rubio Gamo to present his work to the French audience performing during a shared evening with a French company.
Spass n°6
For the past 5 years, the Festival organizes Spass, an appointment that allows the meeting of two artists who don't know each other, don't speak the same language but need to work together one day and present the result of their work to the public at the end of that same day. This spass will be the opportunity to confront two styles of dance, to bring into conflict two countries and to see the result of this surprised meeting.
