La Espagna de ida y vuelta. Ernesto Schmied

With the support of AC/E, the Centro de Música Antigua in Buenos Aires has scheduled a concert tour of Argentina for the historical flute specialist Ernesto Schmied. His repertoire explores different styles and periods related to the Iberian Peninsula and South America.

Ernesto Schmied has performed at different concert halls in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and northern Africa. He has taken part in festivals such as Santander International Festival, Houde Muziek Utrecht, Quincena Musical Donostiarra, and Calw Festspiele, among others. He collaborates with different chamber music groups whose repertoire spans from the Renaissance to the Baroque (Camerata Iberia, Extramundi, Scordatura, La Españoleta.) and has been guest soloist with various orchestras (Orquesta Sinfónica  de Madrid, Orquesta Concerto, Orquesta de Cámara de Música Barroca do Porto, Orquesta Schola Cantorum and Concierto Español). He is the director of the Speculum group, which specialises in Spanish Ars Nova.
