Entreviñetas 2015. 6º Festival Internacional del Cómic de Colombia

Entreviñetas 2015. 6º Festival Internacional del Cómic de Colombia

ENTREVIÑETAS is the most important and prestigious festival of comics, graphic novels and drawing in Colombia and Latin America. It promotes reading and artistic dialogue from the perspective of comics, drawing and graphic novels. With more than 30 guests from 12 countries, Entreviñetas is taking place for the sixth time in 2015. During the months of August and October, six Colombian cities play host with a programme of travelling activities: Bogotá, Bucaramanga, Cali, Cartagena, Manizales and Medellín. The programme covers a three-month period, beginning in the last week of August and ending in the last week of October.

Entreviñetas 2015 features an activity designed to explore the work of two people who have gained a foothold on the new Spanish scene of cartoonists aged under 40. Authors Joan Cornellà and Ana Galván are attending the festival and taking part in this programme with the support of AC/E at the invitation of the festival.

These authors will give lectures and show their work at well-known venues in Medellín and Bogotá. They will each be welcomed in one of the cities to show their work under the comic and graphic narrative theme. The festival will also produce a fanzine of both exhibitions, presented in a single activity, in the form of a catalogue showing the scope and creative impact of their visit. The exhibition is designed as a retrospective of their graphic narrative works. Their most recent publications, the books Mox Nox by Joan Cornellà, and Trabajo de clase by Ana Galván, will be presented at the lectures they attend. Lastly, there will be a programme of workshops and creative laboratories related to the activities of the two Spanish guests.
