In this line, and after the success of previous years, a fifth cycle of "New Spanish Dramaturgy" will be developed, a fourth cycle of "Contemporary Spanish Theater", a second cycle of "Approach to the Spanish Golden Age" and a new cycle of "Red UK" that promotes collaboration between the Cervantes Theater and other theaters in the United Kingdom.
Cervantes Theater
The Cervantes Theater opened its doors in November 2016. It is a theater created by the Spanish Theater Company (STC), a charity (non-profit organization) that aims to bring the best of Spanish and Latin American culture to London and to the British public. The Cervantes Theater is the first theater in London dedicated to showing Spanish and Latin American plays, in English and Spanish.
At the Cervantes Theater our contemporary authors, new dramaturgy and also our classics are represented, as well as small-format music and dance to a wide audience of all nationalities. There are also productions and workshops for schools as part of their educational program.
Through its bilingual programming, the Cervantes Theater promotes cultural exchange between Spain, Latin America and the United Kingdom and has become a point of reference in London for Spanish-language culture.
