EIFF is a festival of discovery, diversity and debate. Besides their regular Gala Events, Best of British, American Dreams, Documentaries, European and World Perspectives, and experimental Black Box sections, each year EIFF presents a strand with accompanying events focused on a selected country. In 2019 EIFF showcases Spanish cinema. The annual country focus will comprise of new feature films, a retrospective of Spanish classics, industry programmes, panels, networking events and receptions. AC/E supports the participation of Nicolas Pacheco with his film "Cages", Manolo Munguia with "H0us3", Salvador Simo with "Buñuel in the Labirynth of the Turtles" and David Trueba with "Living is Easy with Eyes Closed", Pablo Berger with "Blancanieves", Laura Otalora with "Chef’s Diaries", Víctor Moreno, Leon Siminiani, Paula Ortiz, Eloy Domínguez Seren, José Luis López-Linares with ‘Virgin and Extra: The Land of Olive Oil’, Daniel Monzón with "Cell 211", Alberto Vázquez y Nacho Vigalondo.
